Phishing is a kind of online scam where someone tries to get your login credentials to take over your account.
Scammers usually send a fake message pretending to be a moderator, offering free chips or cool promos to get your data.
Then they ask you to log in on a site that looks just like ours. But watch out: it’s a FAKE page!
Here are some tips to help you avoid falling for these kinds of scams:
1. Messages from Mundigames and from our Moderators will ONLY show up in the “Mundigames” tab.
When we send messages through the inbox, you’ll see a “moderator” tag on the sender’s avatar. This tag only appears for official Mundigames moderators.
If you get a message from someone claiming to be a moderator in your “Inbox” tab, it’s certainly a fake message!
2. If someone sends you a chat message claiming to be a moderator, it’s easy to tell whether they’re official or not.
a) Our moderators always write in blue in the chats, and in some games, their messages will also have a blue background.
b) Our avatars always wear the official Mundigames cap right on their AVATAR. Don’t just check the profile pic, look at the full avatar!
They might not even have a profile pic, but one thing’s for sure: our mods ALWAYS wear the official Mundigames cap.
3. The Nicknames we roll with for promos are:
https://www.mundijuegos.com/player/mundijuegos/
https://www.mundijuegos.com/player/smartin/
https://www.mundijuegos.com/player/isadoraludi/
No extra letters, not even one. The other mods don’t send promotions.
4. The emails we send always come from an address ending in tangelogames.com, like news@mundimail.tangelogames.com.
5. We’ll never ask you to log in with your nickname and password to pick a promotion. So NEVER click on unknown links or enter your credentials in suspicious promo links!
6. The official Mundigames website is: https://www.mundigames.com/ — no extra letters, not even one. It’s always better to type in our address or use a link you’ve saved, instead of clicking on those links sent to you.
7. Your Mundigames account is personal. Never share it, not even with friends or family. Everyone should have their own account.
8. Be careful when sharing personal information online. Never give out your personal details to strangers (like your home address, email, phone number, bank info, etc.).
9. Use strong, hard-to-guess passwords. Don’t use the same password for Mundigames as your personal email or other social media accounts.
10. Remember, it’s your responsibility to keep your password safe, as well as your email and Facebook accounts.
11. If you get a suspicious message, ping us! We’ll take action, like banning the account and blocking access to the fake website.
Stop scams!
